You all know me. I’ve been fighting for union rights for 43 years. And as your Business Manager, I’ve seen what we’re facing up close. So believe me when I say this…

We are under pressure from all sides, and we need Union Leaders who will fight for our jobs and pensions.

30 years ago, I was a maintenance painter at SoCal Edison, and I saw firsthand the disaster of Privatization — pensions nosedived, services got worse, and Union Members’ lives were ripped apart. We can’t let it happen here.

Fighting for your rights is my life’s work. Through 4 decades of union life, and 20 years of Local 18 Leadership, I’ve protected our pensions, added to our numbers, negotiated major contracts, and gone toe-to-toe with politicians, private companies, and public utilities to make sure that those in power always honor labor!

I hope you’ll trust me with your vote to continue as Business Manager during this time of crisis. And I hope you’ll vote for the entire Marrufo Slate of candidates. Together they have 258 years of dedicated union service, and represent every part of Local 18, from Water to Power to Joint. They are the next generation of Union Leadership, and they aren’t afraid to tell me when I’m wrong.
